Trivia Night - 2010

The following information was provided by Sharon Aubuchon:

Just a word of thanks to everyone who helped make Trivia Night a success this year. We are extremely grateful to everyone who helped move furniture on Friday afternoon and after the game on Saturday night!

There were 16 teams participating this year. Lots of cash prizes were awarded.

The Roaring 20’s theme was so much fun this year! Thanks to everyone who got in the spirit of things.

Game Winners:

1^st Place           score of 76, The Islanders

The team included Ray & Judy Markham, Craig & Lisa Markham, Steve & Lisa Livingston and Scott & Christi Markham.  Not only did this team look good in their Island apparel, they can really spell!

2^nd Place           score of 71 The Daddy O’s,

The team included Sandra Heuay, Mike & Angela Wray, Norman Pierce, Bill & Audrey Pappas, Pat Goddard & Huguette Duff.  This team really know their Pringles! They had 2 “perfect 10” rounds!

        3^rd Place           score of 71, Team Wolz

The team included Rick & Vicki Wolz, Don & Peggy Brown, Marty & Debbie Worn, Todd Harris and Frank DeCarlo.  This team had a “perfect 10” in the Who Knew category!

Again this year, some teams went all out on their table decorations and costumes.  The judging was very difficult because of the amazing creativity of our HHR residents. Your table themes give the committee an insight to your “hidden” personalities! We appreciate the decoration talents of all the teams. With that being said, the winners of the best decorated tables were:

1^st Place           Wizard of OwlZ Perch

This “Over the Rainbow Hill” team made quite an impression with their elaborate costumes and fun personality! Their cast of characters included the Wicked Witch (captain Cheryl Lachalmelle), the Cowardly Lion (Larry Lachalmelle), the Good Witch (Jane Lonigro), The Scarecrow (Joe Lonigro), Dorothy Gale (Monte Kay Johnson), the Tin Man (Larian Johnson), the Munchkin (Nita Meier) and the Wizard himself (Fred Meier). What a fun group!

2^nd Place          Clue-less  (A very close 2^nd place!)

Captain Barry Bingham created an HHR themed “Clue” game complete with game board featuring our rooms at the clubhouse. Team members included the Grim Reaper (Mary Ann Bingham), the unfortunate Mr. Boddy  (Barry Bingham), Miss Scarlet (Linda Hanson), Col. Mustard (Paul Hanson), Prof. Plum (Bill Lange), Mrs. Peacock (Phylis Sparks),Mr. Green (Mike Mitra), and Mrs. White (Anita Rehm)It was amazing! These guys are always so creative!

3^rd Place           Rhode’s Scholars

This team used the 50^th anniversary of the first Dr.Seuss book as their inspiration in creating their table and costumes. Theodore Gissel (Dr. Seuss) starting writing in the 1920’s.  Good trivia guys!

Team members included Gary & Sharon Rhodes, Kathy & Sarge Ball, Sharon & Jim Ball and Marcia & Gene Reed.

The Bonus Round must have been too easy this year (or you guys are getting too smart!) because we had three teams who got all 10 logos correct! The winning teams were The Squadra Senza Nome team (captain Joe O’Coin), Team Wolz (captain Vicki Wolz) and The Islanders (captain Ray Markham).

The Dead or Alive game was won by Larry Marten. He really knows dead people!
